What Is Transformative Touch?

What Is Somatic Therapy?

Somatic Therapy is a holistic healing practice that works with the mind-body connection. Rather than focusing only on talking or analyzing problems, it starts with the body as a source of wisdom and insight. The word “somatic” comes from the Greek word soma, meaning “living body.”

Science now confirms what many ancient practices have long known: our bodies store emotions, stress, trauma, and even old beliefs. Somatic therapy helps us tune into the body's signals—through awareness, touch, gentle movement, and conversation—to begin releasing what’s no longer serving us.

Sometimes our body carries a lot of stress, sadness, fear, or pressure without us even realizing it. Transformative Touch helps the body feel safe enough to begin letting go of some of that weight, so people can feel calmer, lighter, more grounded, and more like themselves again. It’s a deeply respectful and non-invasive exploration that meets you exactly where you are.

What you might experience

People who experience somatic therapy often report:

  • Feeling more connected to their bodies and inner truth

  • Gaining insight into long-held emotional patterns

  • Learning how to self-regulate stress and anxiety

  • Releasing tension, burnout, and emotional overwhelm

  • Deepening their relationships—with themselves and others

  • Moving toward greater ease, vitality, and self-understanding.

Who is this for?

These sessions are great for you if:

  • You feel disconnected from your body or emotions

  • You’ve tried talk therapy but feel something is still missing

  • You’re interested in self-discovery, embodiment, or healing

  • You’re managing stress, chronic tension, or burnout

  • You’re simply curious about what your body might want to say

You don’t need to have a “big issue” to work with me. Sometimes, the most profound changes come from simply listening to ourselves in new ways.
